RUSH: Let’s read the preceding paragraph, too, shall we? Yes. “All of this — the lack of paid leave, lack of affordable child care, an accepted culture of overwork and businesses that are slow to embrace flexible or work from home arrangements — combines to create an atmosphere where many parents feel under attack as they go about the business of trying to raise kids who will grow up to become good future citizens.”

So that’s kind of a synopsis of her e-mail back to Gwyneth Paltrow. You think it’s easy our there? We don’t have paid leave! We don’t have an affordable health care anymore. We have an acceptable culture of people overworking themselves, working to the bone, and that’s how you define who you are. It’s work, work, work, work, work — and businesses?
