RUSH: If Obama Wants To Keep Being President, There Isn’t Gonna Be An Election

RUSH:  Here is Steven in South Jordan, Utah.  Great to have you on the EIB Network.  Hello.

CALLER:  Hi, Rush.  I’m glad to talk to you.  I really enjoy your program.

RUSH:  Thank you, sir, very much.

CALLER:  I have a prediction that Hillary Clinton will not be running for president because Barack Obama will be running for a third term because his people, at the right time, will take that law that says a president can only run for two terms to the Supreme Court and have it declared unconstitutional.  Now, Obama will probably pick Hillary as his vice president —

RUSH:  Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.  I’m having trouble understanding you.  I need you to pull that phone a little further away from your mouth, for one thing.  You think that the Supreme Court will agree that denying a guy to run a third time is what?  Unconstitutional?

CALLER:  Unconstitutional.

RUSH:  But one thing that I know for sure, you cannot change the presidential succession amendment to affect the current occupant.  That cannot happen.  Well, forgive me, folks.  I’m living in the old days where the law mattered.  You may have a point.  You may have a point.  But I was gonna say, here’s my first reaction.  If Hillary is not gonna run because Obama is — if Obama wants to keep being president, there isn’t gonna be an election.  He’s not gonna have to run for anything.  He’s just gonna say, “I can’t run the risk of turning this country over to the Republicans.  It’s too important.”  And of course the media would support that.
