RUSH: Bernadette Lancelin’s Instincts Are Right On The Money

RUSH: Here is the audio of the YouTube video that actually ran on Fox Eyeball News KRIV-TV Channel 26 in Houston, Bernadette Lancelin complaining about Obama’s border policy.

LANCELIN:  This is not right.  Now billions of dollars want to be borrowed from the White House to help feed and house them.  What about (bleep) kids here in our country?  Not just in this neighborhood, but in our country?  All these kids, really?  Why can’t they go back?  I’m sorry that the parents are in poor living conditions or surroundings or whatever’s going on out there, I don’t care.  I care about what’s going on right here in my own backyard, my neighborhood.  Am I the only one in this community that’s out here that watches the news (bleep) every morning?  Oh, my God.  I feel alone right now in this.  And I’m very saddened by it.

RUSH:  By the way, folks, I have to tell you, her instincts are right on the money.  When she says, “Look, I’m sorry that their parents are in poor living conditions or surroundings or whatever is going on out there, I don’t care. I care about what’s going on right here in my own backyard.” She’s basically saying, “Look, we can’t fix everybody. It’s not our role.  Somebody’s gotta take care of themselves here.  We’re taking care of ourselves, we’re doing everything.”  That’s what her point is.  And she’s right on the money.  We’re handcuffing ourselves with this whole idea that we’ve got to just let every value and tradition we hold dear crumble in order to be nice.  It doesn’t work that way.  I want you to listen to this again.  I want you to listen to this woman’s passion and her anger over this, and her instincts are right on.

RUSH:  She’s out there, she’s ticked off at the low-information crowd herself.  She doesn’t know it.  And of course, “billions of dollars want to be borrowed from the White House.”  I know she means Congress.  And I know we’re already spending more money on poverty in this country than anywhere else in the world is.  I know that.  But her instincts about this are I think pretty spot on.
