LIMBAUGH: Why Do Conservatives Have To Accept That The Media Is Gonna Try To Destroy Us?

RUSH: Why is it and where is it written that we, as conservative Republicans — simply because it’s tradition and simply because it’s the way it’s always been. Why do we have to sit there and take the bullying, the lying, the mischaracterization, the dehumanization, the attempt to delegitimize? Why is that our role? People on our side say, “You must just accept that that’s the rules. That’s just the way it is. It would be folly to take on the media.”

They’ve always told us, “It would be silly!” You’ve heard the old adage: Don’t ever get into argument with people who buy ink by the barrel. And, by the same token, we are to sit idly by while the media — while we call them, while we acknowledge that they’re the news. They treat the Democrats and leftists with the softest of gloves and with love and devotion, and they cover up for them, and they’re never hard on them. They’re never critical of them, or seldom. These are just the rules, and we have to sit there and we have to put up.

By virtue of the fact that we are going to be conservative, call ourselves conservatives, certain things we have to accept. We have to accept the media is gonna try to destroy us, dehumanize us, delegitimize us, rip us, destroy our president and our elected officials. We just have to sit there. And by the same token, when they do the opposite with Democrats, we have to accept that. Why? I understand his question. If they’re fake news and if they’re fraudulent news, what are they doing in there? What are they doing that guarantees them a seat, guarantees them a credential? Why are they there? Tradition?

Well, they’ve always been there.

They’re part of the media.

They have White House correspondents.

Yeah, I know, but that’s not what they do. They’re there to destroy the president of the United States, and the president is required by tradition to let them into the room and let them try. And yet when the president lets reports who are somewhat friendly in and takes questions, CNN whines and moans about that and claims that is fake news. Yet when for eight years in a row these same reporters sits there and fawn all over Obama, that is not fake news? That’s legitimate, and we’re supposed to shut up about it? So now we’ve got a president fighting back against all this tradition, fighting back against all the, “Well, this is just the way it is.” Fighting back against the, “You just have to sit there and take it. This is part of what being a Republican in Washington is.”

Why do we sit here and just have to take the fact that protesters are gonna show up, bought and paid for, and they’re gonna protest and they’re gonna give the media a phony narrative, a false meme. That the media can say the protesters hate America, they’re justified in hating America. They hate Trump, they’re justified in hating. Why do we sit there and take this? We do we every time fall for these reports that this is all real? “Because, Mr. Limbaugh welcome back it is real. The last time I saw there were protesters in the street.”

You know what I mean, Mr. New Castrati. It’s not real. It’s orchestrated. It’s choreographed. They’re salaried. They’re paid for. They may be independent contractors, but they’re paid to show up and raise hell, creating a news narrative.
